Vision

When everything is in place, the JC is now a village. It is a center of beauty,

spiritual and personal growth,joy and empowerment.

 

In full operation are the following:

*A vegetable garden tended by the JC children, where they learn the value and process of gardening.

*Flower garden, filled with flowering plants that give color to the Center.

*Church without walls, where metaphysical services of celebration are regularly held.

*Sacred nooks, where people sit, meditate and pray.

*Regular classes, workshops, and retreats are in place at certain intervals

*A special place where children come to play with study, and do some artwork.

*Regularly held, JC's fundraising is a success. It provides adequate funds for salaries and/or stipends to its workers and volunteers

*The net proceeds from the Alliance in Motion (AIM) Global business venture are adequate enough to help,

in however we can, those in great financial need; e.g., life-serving medical attention.

 

 

Indeed the JC is now a beehive of activity and love. Thank you, God 

 

Brief History

Beth Leilani Mercado, Ph.D.

 

This is a dream of many decades, which, finally, has come true. When I was a young professional in the Philippines, I, sometimes, took the bus to and from my place of work.  One particular time when the bus was overcrowded, I asked the question, "How can I help my people?" The answer that came was: "Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind." 

 

Then I immigrated to America, which exposed me to many fields of wisdom, especially metaphysics. Applying what I learned to my life, I found that my earthly existence tremendously improved. Such improvements led me to the above-mentioned mission. I feel that the Almighty has anointed me to do this.

 

 This gave birth to the Unity Joy Center in Garden Michigan. Unfortunately, this Center folded after a brief period. Since then, the idea to establish JC in the Philippines has been a burning desire in my heart. Finally, on July 14, 2013, the Joy Center, An Oasis for Joy and Empowerment, was born!

 

For the first two years, I concentrated on teaching classes mainly to children; and sporadically, facilitating, workshops for adults and seniors. At this writing, the time has come for me to give my attention to such groups of individuals, who are open to the pertinent activities I facilitate. One such activity is a seminar on

Aging Gracefully.

 

With the Philippines being a developing country, many Filipinos are in great financial need. It is are hope and prayer that we be able to fill that need in the very near future.
